Wagamama partners with Oysho Cardiff Half Marathon

Wagamama has come on board as a new partner of the 2025 Oysho Cardiff Half Marathon.

The pan-Asian inspired restaurant is the perfect partner to help keep runners fuelled and, with two restaurants in the heart of the city – one in St Davids and another in Mermaid Quay – it’s an ideal place for participants and spectators to visit during race weekend.

The new partnership also sees Wagamama join the Gold Card initiative – which offers exclusive perks for those running for Lead Charity NSPCC, as well as some of the events other associate charities. Fundraisers will be able to claim a free gyoza when ordering a main course on race day!

Emily Wharton, Senior Regional Sales and Marketing Manager at Wagamama, said: “Our teams love seeing the city come alive over the half marathon weekend and we are so excited to be an Event Associate partner in 2025.

“We believe food is life, we need it to fuel our bodies and achieve the incredible and without it, the 27,500 athletes running wouldn’t have the energy to train and cross that finish line.

“Our food is made fresh to order with quality ingredients every time and fit for all occasions, whether that’s a light pho ahead of training or a comforting katsu post run, Wagamama has you covered.”

Matt Newman, Chief Executive at event organisers Run 4 Wales, added: “We’re delighted to have Wagamama on board as one of our Event Associates at this year’s Oysho Cardiff Half Marathon.

“Their Cardiff restaurants are perfectly positioned for everyone to enjoy over race weekend – whether spectators want a bite to eat while waiting to catch a glimpse of their loved one running through Cardiff Bay, or runners are simply looking to refuel in the city centre after taking on the 13.1-mile course.

“We’re thrilled to be working with the Wagamama team and are looking forward to seeing how the partnership develops.”
